"Nor by Hearsay shall he decide"

I was learning about the word hearsay.  And the prophet, Isaiah, in this Liturgy of the Word on the Second Sunday of Advent, spoke clearly to me that a prophet does not make any decisions according to hearsay.  And I heard hearsay during the homily.
